Chicken Machboos is the national dish of Bahrain. Machboos is similar to Biryani (from the Indian subcontinent) and Kabsa (from Saudi Arabia), all with varying cooking methods, ingredients, degree of spiciness, and assembly. But all three are essentially meat and rice dishes.
